Grandma's Headstone

Attention all Jeisman, Redden, Lewis, (Edmonds), Stringer, Rowley, Maddox, and Osborn cousins....

Margaret Atkinson OSBORN (nee Gray, 1876-1951) - known to most of us as "Grandma Osborn" - is buried in the Cheltenham Cemetery on Port Road.

Her site - Plot 4B North, Drive C, Sect P, Path 42, #C12493 - long ago ran out of time, and eventually will be recycled, but I was advised a while back that the area it's in isn't on their hit list. For the moment. So I asked to be put on their files as the "Please Contact" person, but apparently someone - presumably one of the above - is already on their files, but the cemetery's policy is to not disclose who this is. Don't ask me why!

What I would like to do, when the time comes, is take Grandma's modest headstone and fix it to her husband's grave slab over in Yaninee Cemetery, where Bert is assured of rest in perpetuity. I just think this would be a nice touch.

So cousins, can you beat the old jungle drums in the family and pass this on to whoever among us is holding Grandma's plot deeds, to make sure we don't lose this small remaining piece of her life.

        Cheers....
