Daniel Perry of the parish of St Mary Whitechapel London, Baker, son of
Stephen Perry of Mile End Middlesex, Cowkeeper, and Elizabeth his wife, and
Elizabeth Heming of Ipswich in the County of Suffolk, Spinster, daughter of
Thomas Heming of Ipswich aforesaid, Tinman, and Ann his wife deceased,
Having declared their intentions of taking each other in marriage before
several Meetings of the People called Quakers, in Ipswich aforesaid, and the
Processing of the said Daniel Perry and Elizabeth Heming, after due enquiry and
deliberate consideration thereof, were allowed by the said Meetings, they
appearing clear of all other and having consent of parents and relations
concerned,
Now these are to certify all whom it may concern that for the accomplishing
of their said marriages this twenty second day of the sixth month, called June
in the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy five, they the said Daniel
Perry and Elizabeth Heming appeared in a Publick Assembly of the aforesaid
People and others in their Meeting House in Ipswich aforesaid,
And he the said Daniel Perry, taking the said Elizabeth Heming to be my
wife, and promising through Divine assistance to be unto her a faithful and
loving husband until it shall please the Lord by death to separate us (or words
to that import),
And the said Elizabeth Heming did then and there in the said Assembly in
like manner declare as followeth, Friends in the fear of the Lord, and before
this Assembly, I take this my friend Daniel Perry to be my husband promising
this [with] Divine assistance to be unto him a faithful and loving wife until
it shall please the Lord by death to separate us (or words to that import),
And
the said Daniel Perry and Elizabeth Heming, as a further confirmation thereof,
and in testimony thereunto did then and there to these promises set their hand,
