The Family Groupings


    To help in navigation, there are basically TWO sets of FOUR separate family groups that make up this collection, who each emigrated from the UK and Ireland to settle mostly in South Australia....

EDMONDS (Puplett, Evans, Perry)
    The Edmonds's are from Wiltshire, the Puplett's from Essex, and the Perry's originally from Kent and then into Berkshire. Parts of all of these families emigrated in the early-mid 1800s.

HAINES (Bawden, Flower)
    The Haines's and Flowers are from Wiltshire, and the Bawdens from Devon.  The Haines's and Bawdens emigrated in the mid 1800s.

OSBORN (Paynter, Ash)
    The Osborns and Ash's are from Devon, and the Paynters from the Devon/Cornwall border.  The Osborns and Paynters emigrated in the mid 1800s.

GRAY (Pearce, Fayers, Warne)
    The Grays are from Dorset, the Fayers from Suffolk but also go back to Somerset, and the Warnes from Cornwall.   All but the Warnes emigrated in the mid 1800s.

SKINNER (Brown, Cochran)
    The Skinners are from Kent, the Browns and Cochrans from Scotland.  Some of the Skinners and at least one of the Browns emigrated in the mid 1800s.

HICKEY (Hurley, Daly)
    The Hickeys, Hurleys, and Dalys are all from Co Cork in Ireland. Parts of each family emigrated at various times, but the Hickeys came in the 1870s.

BURGESS (Colston, White, Hodges)
    The Burgess's, Colstons, Whites, and Hodges are all from Somerset. Of these direct lines, only the Burgess's emigrated, in the 1920s.

HOLLICK (Topley, Bott, Taylor)
    The Hollicks, Topleys, Botts, and Taylors are all from the Midlands of UK. Of these, only the Hollicks emigrated, in the 1920s.
