marriage in a publick Assembly of the people called Quakers in the Meeting
House at Chelmsford in the presence of us,

23/10/1829 - Son James indentured to
Huntley's the biscuit makers, in which Daniel is described as "of

30/1/1840 - Son James married Lucy Perry
in Reading with his mother and a Charles Puplett attending (presumably his
brother), but not Daniel. Daniel is
"of Chelmsford, a coal merchant"

Springfield parish in the Chelsforn (Grt Baddow?) of Essex is Daniel Puplett
(50, bn Esx), Ann Puplett (56, NOT bn Esx), Maria (Evans? Puplett?) (20, bn
Esx, and Sarah Osborn (15, bn Esx) [h]
14/12/1842 - Thomas Perry (James'
father-in-law) visited Daniel and Ann at Chelmsford, and was "kindly
received" and stayed overnight. James and his wife Lucy came to dinner the next day [d]
18?? to 1846 - Son Charles worked in a law
office in Epping (in London) [d]
Jan to Mar 1846 - Son Charles died of
consumption at their home in Chelmsford (Thomas to ....... 8/6/46) [d]

Puplett is quite blind and has been for some time, he seems to have never got
the better of that sad illness he had about the time (Alfred Perry) left
