(While the "Lock" and "Horne" names, along with
"James" and "Dinah", make a strong case for a link, the
"Osman" spelling is an odd variation, compounded by the fact that
it's a legitimate surname in many area. Also the apparent "two families"
above and below, broken by 7-8 years, is off-putting, as is the recycling of
two of the kid's names, although neither of these things are at all rare in
families of this period, assuming that at least the "first" John and
James both died in infancy.
(Powderham, Starcross, and Kenton are all adjacent to each other just
south of Exeter on the western edge of the Exe estuary).
