of Kent Town, father “Frank Pierce”) married Isaac Robert Gray (19, bach, a
Mason, of Payneham, father William Gray) at the Wesleyan chapel in Pirie St
Adelaide. Witnesses were Louisa Gray
[his younger sister?] of Payneham, and William Briggs (labourer of Payneham,
[husb of elder sister Sarah?]. His signature is a big strong copperplate, hers
“Elisabeth Pearce” a little thin and spidery.

single, Gardener, Salvo, n.o.k. father, eyes brown) joined up in Army after
rejected 9/11/1815 and 30/9/1916. Pte,
#3151, 5th Inf Batt, embk Melb 16/12/1916 on HMAT “Medic”, medical

was buried in the local cemetery, but his name was also added to his wife's
headstone at Cheltenham ("Devoted parents of 13 children") [b]
