Edmonds

This is what I found in the first EDMONDS file...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

[A TAG]    Transcript of a diary of a young bloke who sailed to South Aust on the "Fairlie" with the Edmonds family. It's great if you're after background material for the "colonial adventure" that was the times.

[A BOOK]   Extracted notes from another valuable insight on the earliest colonial times in South Aust. For South Aussies, you can find a copy of this in the One Library system, all you need is your local library card. Anyone else may have to hunt a bit further afield.

"A BOOK OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA : Women In The First 100 Years"
- compiled and edited by Louise Brown.

[A TAG]     I've alluded to this family artefact somewhere off to the side, a wonderfully evocative piece of family memorabilia, but only available by having a special Readers Card from the SA State Library, then order it in to the Reading Room. One day I hope to have time to photograph the whole thing page by page, which is allowable under some circumstances. I have a full list of the contents, and some transcriptions, which I intend to put up here. Also one day.
