23/3/1855 - Aged 12, sailed for Pt Adelaide from Plymouth on the "Velocity" with family.  [d] 

25/6/1855 - Arrived at Pt Adelaide.  [d] 

c 1858-60 ? - Father and mother leave SA for Wentworth NSW
    (They were "Not residing Province" in 1868 when James Jr married)  [m]

c 1860 - Sister Dinah marries Llewellyn Geake at Yelta in Vic  [m] 

c 1865 ? - Purchased a property in Kersbrook from a Mr Weaton (?) 

4/9/1865 - Sister Mary married John Langley at Kersbrook Wslyn [g][q]

His father shown as James Horn Osborn, hers as Richard Paynter, the witnesses (her brother?) John (“Paynter”? hard to see signature but could be), a farmer of Kersbrook, and Sarah Ann Goodes of Kersbrook. [k] 

10/2/1867 - Dau Rachael Eliz born at `Maidstone' [g][q] 

18/4/1868 - Brother James married Elizabeth Summers at Kersbrook Wesleyan  [g] 

12/9/1868 - Son Richard John born at `Maidstone' [g][q] 

7/2/1869 - Elizabeth's brother Richard died at St Kitts in SA. [a] 

1869 - Younger brother James listed as a "Sawyer" of Richmond Para Wirra Dist at regn of his son.  [g] 

28/12/1870(71?) - Son James Thomas born at Kersbrook [g][q] 

1872 (to 1900) - Directories list a John Osborn(e) Farmer, variously of Kersbrook, Maidstone, Chain of Ponds.  [c] 

16/6/1873 - Dau Edith Bertha born at Kersbrook [g][q] 

25/2/1875 - John Ash Osborn of Kersbrook regd as a Depositor in Savings Bank of SA  [s] 

7/4/1876 - His father dies at Wentworth NSW [p]

27/9/1878 - Ethel May born at Kersbrook.  John's occupation given as "Sawyer"  [g][q]

    (Can't find any "Reynolds" connection in direct family line) 

17/3/1880 - Their youngest child Rueben died of whooping cough, buried at Kersbrook, aged 2 months, informant John Ash Osborne. [h][b]

2/7/1882 - Elizabeth dies of `Brain disease and exhaustion' aged 39 in Adelaide, (`wife of John Ash Osborn' farmer of Kersbrook), informant her brother John Paynter. [b][p][h] 

5/10/1886 - John (widower of Kesbrook) re-marries, to Ann Crook of Kersbrook.  [g] 

1889 - His mother Jane dies at Wentworth  [n] 

16/7/1895 – Edith B Osborn mar Walter Parker (28, father George) at res of Revd T Raston Kent Town (dist Nwd)  [a] 

7/2/1903 - John dies aged 60 (occ gardener) at Kersbrook and is buried in the local cemetery.  [g][h][r] 

4/5/1903 – John’s death duty record suggests his estate consisted of an 80 acre farm with house at Kersbrook on Sect 6087 (of Para Wirra, mortgage balance a third of its value), stock and implements, some savings, and some rents due to him (for what?). The house and furniture was left to his widow, the land split two ways (Jim and Bert?), and other than some small bequests to two local Sunday Schools, the balance was split seven ways between his six children and one stepson  [t]
