hers as Richard Paynter, the witnesses (her brother?) John (“Paynter”? hard to
see signature but could be), a farmer of Kersbrook, and Sarah Ann Goodes of

gardener) at Kersbrook and is buried in the local cemetery. [g][h][r]
4/5/1903 – John’s death duty record
suggests his estate consisted of an 80 acre farm with house at Kersbrook on
Sect 6087 (of Para Wirra, mortgage balance a third of its value), stock and
implements, some savings, and some rents due to him (for what?). The house and furniture
was left to his widow, the land split two ways (Jim and Bert?), and other than
some small bequests to two local Sunday Schools, the balance was split seven
ways between his six children and one stepson
